Biography

portrait de Bruno Patyn

Bruno Patyn is a talented young artist who travels the world from one residency to the next. In China, Patyn acquired the techniques of Chinese traditional painting, which allow him to give pictorial depth to his works. His landscapes are organized like a chessboard, mapped - a symbolic journey through space and time. The artist’s detailed representation of signs, and the absence of perspective, evoke the primitive arts. In some pieces, Patyn enjoys inserting academic drawings that disturb the relative dating of his work - therefore rendering them timeless.
